Mandy Porter

After graduating magna cum laude from Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, Mandy earned her Masters degree in Physician Assistant Studies from LSUHSC-Shreveport School of Allied Health in 2015. Upon graduation, she was inducted into the Alpha Eta Honor Society. She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and is licensed by the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners (LSBME). Prior to coming to work at ROS in 2015, she worked in a family medicine practice. She also has experience in urgent care and the emergency department.

She is an active member of Broadmoor Baptist and enjoys caring for patient’s physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. She has a passion for both teaching and lifestyle modifications. She enjoys discussing nutrition with her patients and the important role that plays in arthritis as well as overall well-being. She also precepts physician assistant students from the LSU Physician Assistant Program.

In her spare time, she enjoys farming, sewing, and traveling. Mandy is a native of New Orleans but has made North Louisiana her home for almost a decade. In 2016, she married her husband, Chris, who is a native of Hope, AR. They enjoy attending Razorback and Louisiana Tech football and baseball games.
